Busy with projects

This post was supposed to be yesterday. Try to imagine it like it was :D
2 projects due tmr ah!
Sloughing hard cos my team is effectively a 2 man project.
Really tiring for 2 ppl to do 4 ppl project. 1 more helping hand was surely almost necessary.
Doing 2 projects in a day is so not cool (couldnt do anything fun)
My other friend left at about midnight..
I continued about another half an hour and "fainted" too

Today, when I was woken up by my brother, I realised I was late for school. Went ahead anyway and for attendance part, the lecturer marks at the end (how kind). Learning is practically on own initiative. Thankfully, I didn't miss much for the lecturer was briefing about a project which was not very important.
Whatever break there was we squeezed in some time and during "free" time during lessons.
And we presented last, giving us a little more time.
But thank God, we made it through today.

Though I realise something. I was relying on my own strength too much. It was exhausting. But got to learn something from this. I realise that being "capable" I tend to rely on my own strength but that just does not work out very fine. And the answer can be seen in the following.

That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10

Time to live that statement out!

Poly Math EOY exam

Much time have passed since I last posted. Today I'll like to say I'm rather happy at my math exam paper. I could do all but 1 which I spent 40 mins on and still didnt know how to do. 1 down, 2 more to go. I sent my laptop for servicing 2 Fridays ago as there were some black lines on the screen about the size of an index finger and half its length. They say it was caused by pressure to the cover of the laptop. Probably when its in my bag. Got to handle it with more care as a screen cost $800+ *jaw drops* Thankfully I have warranty and for hardware it expires in March. Whew~ Thank God. Also got my battery changed as it wasnt working. Will see the results of the servicing tmr. Hope its all fine. Wont want to have to send it for servicing again. I miss my laptop :O

Hols are in a week and I think I'm resigned to working. Hopefully not the whole hols. Wanna have fun whoo! Time passes in the twinkling of an eye. Poly years pass the fastest I heard.. Heard that when 1 is above 20 your speed of learning decreases :( Wonder if that is true. If that is so I've got but a few precious years left to absorb everything like a sponge. Want to make good use of my time but its not always easy...

Time is Precious. Use it well so that you'll not have regrets.

2 As

I'm responding to calls for me to post on my blog~ Hmm its now 2 weeks into 2010. The Christmas party and New Year's party was simply fantastic. Auntie Annie was generous to open up her house to us for celebrate and have fun! Much thanks to her indeed. On both occasions we played table tennis and several fun group games. Some of us also played UNO, monopoly and boggle. A few of us were actually planning to jump at midnight so we can say I jumped at 2009 and landed at 2010 but we forgot as we were popping "champagne". Fun days like these make up for weeks of 'normality' indeed. I am contented to have just 1 really fun day in a week. It would revitalise me to face each new week of challenges. Now for some good news. I got 2 As for my previous test :) God is good :D Glory be to him. I regret not giving God the credit when ppl ask me how I study or why I score well. Its my motivation to do that. So this is my first New Year Resolution for the year. I guess I'll just name some of my New Year's resolutions in no order of importance.
1) Pass my LTCL music exam
2) Get a good GPA (max is 4)- grading system in Poly. Something above 3.6 would be reasonable enough I believe.
3) Pray unceasingly (whenever I am free) I cant be busy all the time. There has to be time for God.
4) Daily devotion.
5) Practice 3 hours of piano everyday
6) Spend more time with friends
7) Give credit to God (mentioned earlier)

I guess 7 is the perfect number so I'll stop at these. Anyway its quite some things to do. It'll be great if I achieve all of them. Progress.. Moving forward~

1 year anniversary of my blog

Merry Christmas to all~ Wish u all all the best in ur endeavours. After the weekend I'll post about my Christmas. Currently, I just checked out my blog and oh its been a year since I first started blogging. 23/12 being the date. Hmm I realised that the first 3 months I was really actively blogging then after that it was an "armstice" for quite a while several months here and there. A total of 57 posts = average of 1 in 1 week. I realise that I get "addicted" seemingly easy to games. A bad sign indeed. Its just that I probably try to spend much time on them. I also realised that I do work best when I planned to do it last min cos its done really fast compared to normal when i lack motivation and drive to do things quickly. No reason to ask me to do last min stuff though :D Moving back to Tuesday. I met my good friend for jogging after a month of not exercising since I last exercised with him. I met him at about 10:30. We jogged around the neighbourhood a total of about 4 km perhaps as estimated by my friend in 20 min. This would have been no problem when i was in sec 3 when i was at my fittest point of my life. The pace that was set was rather average actually. I tried to go for a slow pace but it was like walking speed. Was trying to train my stamina so just jogged at a better pace. We talked as we jogged so that I'll regulate my breathing but of course its more tiring as well. Towards the last km that we jogged I was huffing and talk between gasps of breaths. Evidently tired but probably hanging on. I mean whats the point of giving up so easily when one can push urself.(not too hard of course) Towards the final part few hundred metres we even stepped up the pace and the last 100m was supposed to sprint. I did not really did a proper sprint as I knew I was out of energy. I did sprint though not a fast sprint. At the end I just slowed to a stop as stopping straight away was not good. I felt abit nauseous but managed to make the feeling go away. He wanted to continue immediately but I just sat down and told him I was feeling a little dizzy and felt like i could faint. We then went to the shelter as the sun was baring down hot on us. I rested and enjoyed the breeze breathing deeply to get enough oxygen. After when I felt I was okay we tried a little stretching to see if I could continue. He decided against it being concerned about my welfare. I went to the lift and we chatted awhile and I wanted to go up cos I felt like sitting down/ too tired to stand. Went up and took water and a little food. Chatted with him for slightly over half an hour and then he had to go. Its really nice to have friends. I wonder what its like to have none at all. In this season of giving, I'll just like to say I treasure each and every one of u and Thank you for being who u are, a wonderful friend (:

Mid term break

Yoz, looks like I havent posted for rather long. Its just the first week of my hols in my 3 week break. Last week I just took my exams~ My main module and my best subject paper was a killer. Dont know what grade I'll get this time. Hope its not too bad. On the bright side though, my 2 other main modules was alrite. Hoping the good results here can compensate for the lousy 1 there~ This week I did some work.(helping my father) Data entry work. Typical office job I guess. It was alrite though. I was given a few days that I asked for to relax so I feel good about doing work. Had I not been given Friday and the weekend off I would definitely have dreaded work. See how much difference a happy worker makes :) Oh yea, this hols is a mid semester break which means there are projects and assignments to be done. Well only the Midyr and EOY are considered real breaks anyway. I saw the calendar the other day and I realised that Chinese New Year is in Feb. This means that I have to spend the short hols to study for my End of Year as the weightage is rather high thus making it exceedingly important. Anyway now's hols so its time to relax first. When sch reopens its time to concentrate for my final and most important quarter.

Ole,ole,ole!

Yesterday, washed, folded and hanged the clothes as usual. However, that was much more work to come. This was as my relatives were coming to our house that evening. Helped to cut vegetables, wash dishes, mop floor and various other things. Although some ppl came early it was almost done. After I was done with the work and it was time to eat. I felt really drained. Was quite tired physically for some reason. I ate 3 bowls of rice and 2 bowls of soup. (with ingredients of course) and felt really full after that so I didnt eat anymore. Had a really fun time with my counsin socialising and bonding and later on i did catch some action of the Liverpool vs Man U match. Well basically I was left all smiles and a good feeling left behind as Liverpool beat Man U 2-0. Today, I had to do some more dishes and bcos some food was leftover and today we cleared it up. So kinda sick of doing dishes though I'll be fine soon. Great that Liverpool are now back in the action again. If Liverpool had lost I could say that Liverpool would be playing less then second fiddle in the title race. For now, things look bright and hopeful.

Kindness exists

This week on one of the days I cam back home on bus I kinda overshot my bus stop by oversleeping. So I got down 2 bus stops after and walked back. As I took out my wallet 2 $0.50 coins dropped out. 1 dropped in the bus while the other rolled out onto the road. Being me, I did not want to block about 5 other ppl. So I just came out of the bus and waited for the bus to go to find the coin that dropped on the road. Surprisingly someone handed me back my coin. I didn't think that I'll get it back actually bcos normally ppl would bother only if u are looking and in this case I wasn't. Well so when I got back my money I could only mutter "Oh... Thanks". Well I managed to find the other coin on the road as well so it ended well. Yesterday when we were forming groups to do a business proposal, no one(including me) wanted to team up with a certain person. This was as ppl all feared his lacklustre attitude as he did not seem to care about his grades does leaving the workload to his group members as seen from the previous project. Things were going awry as other then that, a guy that rumoured to have liked the girl was being put in the same group much to the evident strong displeasure of the girl. The class leader solved the situation by being the "sacrifice". He and another classmate agreed to take the "reject" into his group. However it seemed that no one else wanted to fill up the last slot to make it 4 ppl in the group. I then joined them as I was the most familiar with them among the rest of us I felt and it would probably be better. Only my other friend and I were close to this "reject" and he said he was about to ask if he or I should join that group. But as I said I felt that this was for the best of all(including myself I think). Basically it allowed the other groups to reshuffle and also the girl managed to get a group without that guy although there was a sacrifice on her group's part as well as another group needed a leader in their group. Basically it was good to see kindness being displayed in my everyday life by the people around me. It was really a useful experience indeed.
