One Step at a Time

"We live and we learn to take
One step at a time
There's no need to rush
It's like learning to fly
Or falling in love
It's gonna happen when it's
Supposed to happen and we
Find the reasons why
One step at a time"

One step at a time by Jordin Sparks

Yes no need to rush, haste makes waste XD
Trying too hard has it demerits and it our fast paced world and country well i think this is what we need to hear.

Exam in 1 week! Woaahh~
Lets see, Focus is the word.

Frank is back! Haha good stuff. Our reinforcement have arrived! :D
The on the go guy and pro active enthusiasm injects even more life to our youth woohoo!
2 months wont be long but well its really good given that one is supposed to be overseas anyway and doesnt have to come back.

Youth leader this year is seen as successful? Well that depends on the 1 own view. For me I think that there definitely been improvements so it isn't a failure. There are things that have been changing and well I think it wasnt too bad after all. I would like to be an even better youth leader next year then!

Now I'll like to share an essay I read some weeks back, well I dont quite agree with the whole essay but well lets share the part I find interesting and that which u may like it too.

The other side of the coin is this: fall in love.

I didn’t say “be loved”. That requires too much compromise. If one changes one’s looks, personality and values, one can be loved by anyone.

Rather, I exhort you to love another human being. It may seem odd for me to tell you this. You may expect it to happen naturally, without deliberation. That is false. Modern society is anti-love. We’ve taken a microscope to everyone to bring out their flaws and shortcomings. It far easier to find a reason not to love someone, than otherwise. Rejection requires only one reason. Love requires complete acceptance. It is hard work – the only kind of work that I find palatable.

Loving someone has great benefits. There is admiration, learning, attraction and something which, for the want of a better word, we call happiness. In loving someone, we become inspired to better ourselves in every way. We learn the truth worthlessness of material things. We celebrate being human. Loving is good for the soul.

Loving someone is therefore very important, and it is also important to choose the right person. Despite popular culture, love doesn’t happen by chance, at first sight, across a crowded dance floor. It grows slowly, sinking roots first before branching and blossoming. It is not a silly weed, but a mighty tree that weathers every storm. You will find, that when you have someone to love, that the face is less important than the brain, and the body is less important than the heart.

You will also find that it is no great tragedy if your love is not reciprocated. You are not doing it to be loved back. Its value is to inspire you.

Finally, you will find that there is no half-measure when it comes to loving someone. You either don’t, or you do with every cell in your body, completely and utterly, without reservation or apology. It consumes you, and you are reborn, all the better for it.

Don’t work. Avoid telling the truth. Be hated. Love someone

Well the last line is the title and the 4 things are covered in the essay, perhaps I'll post it another time. Its a speech to a graduating class in NTU in 2008 actually, 1 of my friends posted it on facebook. I liked the essay, it was sharp and truthful in many areas. But the reality was harsh too in parts I did not post, things I have yet to understand, the cold working adult world.
Well just some things to think about..
Adios!~
